Tonight is the kick off of Stuff To Scraps June Blog Train called Daddy and Me!

Like i mentioned before, i work with two of the designers that are taking part. FlowerScraps happened to send me her portion early which is TWO mini kits! So i worked with them and came out with a bunch of freebies and layouts for you!!!

Yes i used this layout twice! I had two ideas for it, and neither worked out.So just two layouts lol.

Yes there are two copies of the one layout. If you look, one says Daddy’s BOY and the other says Daddy’s BOYS! Because sometimes we have more then one!

Desert Cakes

For Tonys Birthday i made desert cakes! I got this awesome cake muffin pan that has dips in the bottoms/tops of the cakes so you can put filling or  something inside. So this is what i did.

First i made a white/yellow cake and put a few drops of food coloring in each cake.

Then i mixed them all up swirling the color around to make them all prettyful.

I baked them, and you can see the dips for the filling.

And the bottoms, So pretty!

I poured strawberry bannana jellow made at less then half strength over each cake.  This made them strawberry flavored. To be sure the jello mix reached the bottom, i used a tooth pick to push holes through the cakes first then poured the jello.

Then i put strawberries on top, 3 small slices a cake.

and topped with whipping cream!

They were a hit, everyone loved them.

JIC Creations works with Throwing Some Scraps Around and she asked for some pf us to work with her new kit called Starlight Fairies. Its a great kit made up with deep blues, yellows and maroons. There are also thease cute little fairies in the kit. It was fun to work with.

Rain

Its raining today. We have needed it ill admit after having 4 or 5 weeks of beautiful weather. We needed the rain. We have terrible fires every summer. Yes even in Alaska. And we already had a really bad one which called almost all the firetrucks out of my town to go some 400 miles away!Its kind of a downer that its raining, no walk for me and the boys. Well maybe we do have rain coats. But Brennan is excited. When he got out of school we made a deal. We turned off the cable tv, and told him his games could only be played if it was raining too hard to go outside. And sure enough, he wanted to play his game. So he gets his hour before lunch and an hour in the afternoon before daddy comes home.  * excluding if i plug in a WII game like bowling and teach him how to play, or maybe mini golf, he would love mini golf, * And no, i dont count wii sports games as video game time. Because they are active rather then bum sitting brain numbing button mashing. lol.

I guess for my rainy day project im going to get on some laundry, i have about 5 loads to wash lol. And i have a kit i need to work with before tomarrow. WHICH REMINDS ME! No im not leaving.

BUT i did start a new blog. Im finding it harder and harder to find my actual posts under all the scrapbooking stuff! Now i understand why people who scrap use two blogs!
