Busy lady

Oh the weather has turned amazing. The sun is out and it was almost 70 degrees in the sun today. Can you believe that! Ok at 6 pm i put my outside themometer out my boys window, in full sun and it read 70.4 degrees. Out hte front window, in the shade it was 62 degrees.
And Oh God is it EVER EARLY for that warm of temps in Alaska. I can only imagine how WARM this summer is going to be. Oh and im gonna be so pregnant too. Ouch lol. I guess this is payback for putting my mom through pregnancy/ labor and delivery to August.
Didnt know that huh, Yeah im due the same week as my birthday lol. Happy 25 to me!
But yes the weather, in 2 days, i have a terrible sunburn, darn that Irish skin that looks at the sun and burns. Ive been walking alot, getting the boys outside and letting them enjoy the warm weather. Long walks, bike rides, while i live on the grass.
Alot of fun.
I still have plenty of down time in the evenings, but really im just loving the sun.
We have had some car troubles this month which pretty much grounds me and the kids to the house. But we survive.
Hopefully next week, we will see leaves! One can only hope!

Welcome to Viability ( and 6 months)

* note here, i measure pregnancy in terms of luner months, which is 10 – 4 week months, not 9 4.5/5 week months*

So here i am, i hit 24 weeks which is a double milestone. It marks the earliest a baby can survive with our level of NICU here in Ak. And it also markts 6 months of pregnancy. Which means only 15/16 more weeks to go. lol.

I had my 24 week ob this week. Babys heartrate is in the 130s ( always much lower then Brennan and Conner who were always 160) baby is transverse with its head on my left, bum/ kicks at my right hip. My bp is ever inching up thanks to massive amounts of personal stress, its now 130/88, up from 120/70 last month. :/
Ive not gained a lb, still under pre pregnancy weight by about 2 lbs. though it varies by thte time of day i weigh in. Usually in the early monring ,and today im 1 lb less then yesterday. I guess i didnt eat enough last night lol.
Another strange occourance, is the sudden apperence of a heart murmur in myself. Ive never had one before, any ideas on what this could mean for my pregnancy which has allready been so troubled?
I dont know wait and see i suppose.
But other then that, things are going well. The baby has a name, boy or girl, and is very active and thumps me away most of the day.
So yay for that.
Here is a belly photo, just to share im getting quite large and am happy that i havent gained any weight ( i started out overweight lol )

How goes it?

So how goes your tv free week?
This week ive gotten alot of the dreaded cleaning under control. No fun stuff for me. But ive managed. We had two rainy days which i didnt take the boys outside. Spent alot of time scrapping, and the kids ended up going to see their grandparents, where im sure the tv is on.
And i cheated.
I watched Grays Anatomy today. God it was a good episode too!
But im on the streight and narrow. Its friday night, im kid free… and im doing nothing. Im loking around fora craft project, or a book i havent read a hundred times. I think im going to settle for cleaning up my garage, or my kids room. I can always take apart the crib and make a bed for Conner out of the mattress… Hmmmmm. Not sure yet. Ill keep looking.

But then i changed harddrives and it was left behind. Well today i was searching for my ultrasound photos of BB at 18 weeks and saw the kit again. OHHH falling in love all over again lol.

Now you all know my obession with bright colors. I simply destest pastels for babies ( i wear them myselve lol ) But a baby.. no bright colors. If i could have all my childs clothes in colors like that, i would be set.

Gentleness + Freebies

Jodi has a great new kit called Gentleness, its made of teals, lavenders and greens. Very pretty combo!  She made so many great pieces to go with it, i had a hard time to choose what i wanted.

Ive tried to go outside my box to scrapbooking this week and try some new things so here they are!

Home Made “ice Cream”

I dont know about you, but in 8th grade science class we made “ice cream” ive always wanted to make it with my kids, and no snow with vanilla extract dosent count. But i found this recipie and thought, hey, its fun, its easy, MAKE SOME!

2 plastic bags. 1 quart, 1 gallon freezer bags

In the gallon sized bag.

Fill half way with ice cubes,

add 6 tablespoons of Rock Salt.

In quart sized bag, mix together

1 cup milk

2 tablespoons suger

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Seal the small bag and place it inside the large bag, then seal the large bag.

Then shake for 10 minutes. Make sure you have someone else there to help you and take turns!!!

Viola Ice Cream!!!

gummy worms

penut butter cups.

YUM!,

Tv Turn off, day two

Day two was a bit harder. Another beautiful day outside, but a bit chilly with some wind. We managed to go outside all the same though!

As you can imagien the boys were quite busy.

Today we filled our morning with my dentist appointment ( 2 cavities down, 2 to go next week) and Conner with my mom and Brennan at school. This afternoon we took a long walk then went to our backyard. Thats a puddle by the way, NOT a pond out back, its terribly deep, we dont get any closer then that. Its gone down about a foot in the last couple of days.

The evening, we did minor art projects and enjoyed some quiet time.

Tomarrow is gonna be fun. I have my OB visit, AND i think im gonna make “ice cream” with the kids.
